Guidance, Support & Compassion — From Our Family to Yours
For more than 60 years, Robert A. Drew & Son has supported families across Willerby, Hull and the surrounding villages with dignity, warmth and personal care.
Founded in 1960 by Robert Drew, our funeral home was built on a simple promise: to care for every family as if they were our own.
Today, that same promise continues through three generations of dedicated family service.
Our Story – Three Generations of Family Care
Robert A. Drew & Son began when Robert Drew, a respected member of the community, opened the funeral home on Main Street in 1960. His commitment to compassion, respect and genuine personal service quickly became the hallmark of the business.
After Robert retired, his daughter Suzanne continued her father’s legacy, ensuring that local families received the same level of dignity and warmth that Robert had always provided.
Today, Suzanne’s daughter, Helen, together with our dedicated team we proudly represents the third generation of family involvement — bringing continuity, experience and heartfelt dedication to every funeral entrusted to us.
For over six decades, our funeral home has remained a place of kindness, reassurance and understanding — shaped by real family values and rooted in the community we serve.

Leaving the Light On
Saying goodbye is not just one moment — it is a journey.
At Robert A. Drew & Son, we believe families should have the space, time and comfort to reflect, remember and honour their loved one in a way that feels right for them.
Our Chapel of Rest offers a peaceful, private place where you can spend quiet moments with your loved one before the funeral. It is a gentle environment where memories can be shared, final words can be spoken, and the light of love can remain present even through the hardest days.
For over three generations, families have trusted us to “leave the light on” — to keep watch, to care faithfully, and to ensure your loved one is treated with the dignity they deserve while in our care.
Whether you wish to visit alone, with family, or simply need somewhere calm to gather your thoughts, we will support you throughout.
If you prefer privacy, we will step back. If you need steady reassurance, we will be by your side.
Grief takes time.
Love continues.
And here, the light is always left on for you.
